A video of a screaming woman launching a tirade of abuse at Oregon anti-lockdown protestors has gone viral, being viewed more than 1.7 million times and counting.
The woman, who identifies herself as a teacher, is seen in the video stopping her car in traffic during a peaceful protest in Bend calling on the governor to lift severe pandemic lockdowns.
Without properly wearing a mask, she leans out of the car window to encourage protestors to commit suicide and kill themselves while flipping multiple middle fingers.
"B****, kill yourself, I'm a f***ing teacher, I work in schools," the woman shouts. "F*** you, I am a teacher. I teach students, my students' families are dying!"
WARNING: Obscene language that may offend some viewers
The video has been seen more than 1.7 million times in the 17 hours since it was shared on Twitter after the protest on Sunday, with 4,000 likes, 3,000 retweets and 1,300 comments.
Oregon governor Kate Brown on Friday said the state was not yet out of the coronavirus pandemic and 25 counties moved into "extreme risk" status, placing them under strict restrictions.
"The introduction of a vaccine does not end this pandemic," she said in a statement. "Right now and into the foreseeable future, the only way to reduce transmission and slow the spread of this disease is to continue to take safety precautions until the vaccine is both widely available and widely administered."
The state's restrictions include a ban on indoor dining and the limiting of social gatherings to six people, as well as closure of non-essential businesses like gyms and movie theatres.
The protestors against the strict restrictions on Sunday held up signs that read "Saving Jobs = Saving lives", "Compliance is not the Cure", and "Time to Push Back".
The woman, so far unidentified, waves and smiles before giving a double bird, shouting "go f*uck all of you" and driving away as the protesters chant "USA, USA, USA" in response.
