Ayrshire motorists affected as M77 closed due to police incident

Motorists heading from Ayrshire to Glasgow today are being forced to avoid the M77 due to a police incident.

The road heading northbound has been closed at junction one between the slip roads.

Traffic Scotland's warning said: "The M77 northbound at Junction 1 (Dumbreck Road) is currently closed due to a police incident.

"Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time and expect longer journey times."
