Ayesha Curry Reveals Cooking Mishap With Barack Obama At Restaurant

Bareck Obama

Before becoming a successful cookbook author and restaurant owner, Ayesha Curry showcased her culinary skills by preparing creative meals for her husband, NBA star Steph Curry. The couple, who met as teenagers at a church youth group in Charlotte, N.C. and married in 2011, recently shared some interesting anecdotes about their early days together.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Ayesha revealed that the first meal she cooked for Steph featured chicken seasoned with a Southern spice blend, served with rice and asparagus. This dish was inspired by a seasoning gifted to her by Steph's father, sparking her passion for cooking.

Years later, Ayesha recounted a nerve-wracking experience when former President Barack Obama dined at their San Francisco restaurant, International Smoke, on President's Day in 2019. Ayesha shared a humorous mishap involving sabering a champagne bottle near the President, causing a momentary panic with the Secret Service.

Despite the high-pressure situations, Ayesha impressed the audience by revealing her unique talent for sabering a champagne bottle with an iPhone. Her culinary skills and entertaining flair have garnered attention beyond her family and friends.

In a recent announcement featured in Ayesha's Sweet July Magazine, the couple shared their excitement about expecting their fourth child. Ayesha expressed their initial decision to stop at three children but ultimately deciding to expand their family last year.

Steph and Ayesha are already parents to daughters Riley, 11, and Ryan, 8, as well as son Canon, 5. The Curry family continues to captivate fans with their culinary adventures and heartwarming family moments.
