Awkward royal day out? Queen's grandson joins ex wife AND new girlfriend at sister's wedding

There's nothing like a wedding to bring the whole family together for a fun-filled day.

And the Queen's oldest grandson Peter Phillips was on hand to watch his half-sister tie the knot at the weekend alongside his new girlfriend - as well as his former wife.

Peter was at the nuptials of William Hosier and Stephanie Phillips - the daughter of his father Captain Mark Phillips and his second wife Sandy Pflueger.

He was snapped posing for a lovely photo with his girlfriend Lindsay Wallace and snapping a family selfie with his partner and his two daughters Savannah and Isla, who are great-granddaughters of the Queen.

But proving there is no tension with his ex-wife Autumn, the mother of his two daughters, she too was at the ceremony, attending with her new partner, property developer Donal Mulryan.

Peter and Autumn divorced over a year ago after 12 years of marriage. They announced their split in February 2020.

His new partner Lindsay has been seen in public with him at events including Royal Ascot, Wimbledon and the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Lindsay had met the Queen and a source told the Sun : "The Queen is one of the most important people in Peter’s life so it’s only right that he introduces Lindsay to her. It was a very warm meeting and the Queen was clearly delighted to meet someone who makes Peter so happy.

“It may still be early days but Peter wanted his grandmother to see he was happy. It is a clear sign that Lindsay has now been firmly welcomed into The Firm and a major first step if they were to ever choose to get married. The Queen just wants Peter to be happy.”

Other attendees at the weekend's wedding at St Mary The Virgin Church in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, included Peter's mother Princess Anne, who watched her ex-husband walk his daughter Stephanie down the aisle.

Also, there was Zara Tindall with her husband Mike and daughters Mia and Lena, who were also cute bridesmaids.

Like her mum and elder half-sister Zara, the bride Stephanie is known as a keen event rider.

Stephanie’s mother, Sandy Pflueger, was married to Captain Phillips from 1997 until 2012 following his separation from Princess Anne.

As a youngster, she went to £13,9000 a term Dean Close School in Cheltenham.

She later studied Business Management at the University of Worcester.

Stephanie also completed both the bronze and gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.

She and her new husband announced their engagement last year on Instagram with a series of sweet photos.

In one of them, the couple were hugging and Stephanie had her hand on her fiance's chest, showing off her sapphire engagement ring.
