An award-winning guesthouse has changed hands after going on the market at offers-over £1.35 million.
Craigatin House and Courtyard in Pitlochry was bought by Lynne and John Fordyce from Martin and Andrea Anderson, who had owned it since 2007. The new owners facing several competing bids.
The Andersons invested heavily in refurbishing the property including the 14 bedrooms and public areas and it has featured in Scotland the Best and the Good Hotel Guide's most stylish places to stay in Scotland.
The sale was handled by Graham + Sibbald , whose head of hotel and leisure Peter Seymour said: “It was a pleasure to work with Martin and Andrea in selling their fantastic business.
"Craigatin House & Courtyard is definitely one of Scotland’s gems. The business is regularly nominated or winning awards from various publications and bodies. This is down the care, attention to detail and excellent service that Martin and Andrea provide.
"The marketing campaign generated numerous bidders and there was regular interest and offers generated throughout the marketing period. The deal has been supported by a Dutch Bank and they seem keen to do more in the sector in the future.
"We feel this is a strong sign that there is apathy to Brexit in the market at the moment, because buyers are putting their heads down and just getting on with it. We have two other deals completing today and three more lined up for the next few weeks.”
