
As far as rookie seasons go, Taylor Barnard had quite the campaign for McLaren in Formula E. After being called up for three races as the team’s reserve in 2024, he started his first full-time season with a podium in Sao Paulo.
The silverware kept coming, with back-to-back podiums in Jeddah, as well as top-three results in Tokyo and Shanghai, plus two pole positions. Only a win eluded the 21-year-old. Despite his newbie status on the grid, he didn’t hesitate in getting his elbows out, finishing the year fourth in the drivers’ championship and comfortably beating experienced team-mate Sam Bird.
