Autistic girl, 7, found after police launched urgent appeal

An urgent appeal was launched after an autistic girl, aged seven, went missing after leaving home.

Police said they were increasingly concerned over the whereabouts of Angela Zheng, from Birmingham - who has now been found safe and well.

Officers called on the public to help track the youngster down.

Angela was last seen leaving her home in Kingstanding Road at 5.45pm. She was wearing a pink Mickey Mouse top with sequins on it, and black leggings.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "This is an urgent appeal for sightings of a young Chinese girl who's wandered off from her home in Kingstanding, Birmingham.

"Angela Zheng left her home in Kingstanding Road at around 5.45pm today and hasn't been seen since. Please call 999 if you see her."

Police said Angela is unlikely to communicate with members of the public or ask for help.
