Former world No.20 Daria Saville has revealed she is pregnant, sharing the happy news alongside husband and fellow tennis player Luke Saville.
Daria Saville took to Instagram to share the news she was expecting her first child on March 26, ruling her out of January's Australian Open.
"We love you so much already. Pisces like mummy," Saville wrote.
"To everyone still dreaming of this moment, we're thinking of you."
Saville reached the last 16 at the Australian Open in 2016 and 2017 but hasn't been able to replicate those highs.
The 31-year-old plummeted down the rankings in 2019 and 2020 as she dealt with a serious achilles tendon injury and plantar fasciitis.
Saville was building back to form in 2022 and clawed back more than 500 spots in the rankings before her world came crashing down in September that year when she tore her ACL.
She is now ranked 160th, having been knocked out in the first round of the Australian Open and French Open this year, and failing to qualify for Wimbledon or the US Open.
Her husband Luke Saville, who achieved a career-high doubles ranking of 23 in 2021, announced his retirement following this year's Australian Open.
