We’ve all been dying for an update on Real Housewives of Sydney and Real Housewives of Melbourne and we’ve finally received some cosmic tea from none other than resident celebrity psychic Jackie Gillies.
In a new interview with Daily Mail Australia, the reality star was asked about the future of the Aussie renditions of Real Housewives and she confirmed “Real Housewives of Sydney will not be returning for a fourth season but Real Housewives of Melbourne just might”, according to the publication.
The article claims when asked about Melbourne, Gillies said “I can’t confirm or deny” with a “sparkle in her eye”.
Sure, it wasn’t a full-on confirmation, but it wasn’t a hard no, either.

The stylish ladies of the Melbourne franchise have been openly discussing whether or not a new season would be possible after a multi-year hiatus following the poorly reviewed fifth season.
Switch the Bitch author Pettifleur Berenger told Yahoo Lifestyle in December that while “it would be nice” for the show to return for a sixth season, she doesn’t think enough people are “going after it”.
“I don’t think there will be a season six coming for Melbourne unless Channel Nine takes it over and pays all the girls fabulous money,” she said.
“I don’t think so, because they tried with new girls [in season five] and it didn’t work, right? So they’d have to bring the other girls back.”

In 2022, Gamble Breaux — who has just been cast in The Traitors season three alongside Sydney Housewife Krissy Marsh — told Herald Sun: “I’d love to do a new season with Lydia [Schiavello], Gina [Liano], Janet [Roach], Pettifleur, Chyka [Keebaugh], Jackie and I’d love to have Simone [Elliott] and her sister, that would be awesome”.
Then, in December of last year, Herald Sun reporter Fiona Byrne claimed there’s been renewed chats about reviving the show. However, if the show were to go ahead, the older cast members would be replaced with a new generation of younger Housewives with only a couple of the heritage cast.
As for the Real Housewives of Sydney, things got so ugly amongst the cast towards the end of the 2025 season — with alleged on-set scraps and cast members refusing to even promote the show together — it’s not surprising that its future is up in the air, which is a huge shame given how damn spicy and entertaining it is.
And then there are the rumours of an Ultimate Girls Trip featuring Housewives from both Aussie franchises.
We need Jackie Gillies’ help to ~manifest~ all three: a new season of both Melbourne and Sydney Housewives, AND an Aussie Ultimate Girls Trip.
