Attempted murder in Glasgow leaves teenage boy with serious injuries

Detectives in Glasgow are appealing for information after an attempted murder in the city last night (January 7).

A 16-year-old boy was found with serious injuries in the Kilmuir Crescent area near to Kyleakin Road around 10:30pm.

The youth was rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers are following a number of lines of enquiry and are treating the incident as an attempted murder.

Detective Sergeant Nicol McPherson, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: “We’re appealing to anyone who was in the Kilmuir Crescent area around the time of the incident and has any information to please come forward.

“We are also keen to hear from any motorists with potential dashcam footage of the area or individuals with private CCTV, as this could prove useful to our investigation.”
