ASOS tie-dyed tracksuit bottoms get dubbed 'poopy pants' by disbelieving shoppers

There's been a brief lull in bizarre fashion news, but don't worry - there's still exciting stuff going on.

ASOS have this time come up with the goods, with shoppers unsure whether to laugh or cry at a pair of eye-catching trousers.

The Public Desire  tracksuit bottoms pay homage to the eighties trend of tie-dye, and feature brown strips on the leg which look most unfortunate.

This unique design has, predictably, prompted a raft of comments regarding the appearance of the pattern.

Thanks to a Facebook account  dedicated to ASOS’s "fashion fails", we can see what other people have to say about the "poopy pants" trousers (as they've been dubbed).

One person wrote: "We all have accidents, but worry not about them stains on your behind! These trousers are the perfect cover!"

Over on Instagram , the feedback was also coming in thick and fast, thanks to an account called Asbos_sos which posted a photo of the item.

ASOS strike again (ASOS)

As well as the "s**t happens" comments and people tagging their mates asking if the trousers belonged to them (classic), social media users also aired their disbelief. "Nahhhh, that cannot be real!" said one.

Putting a more positive spin on the trousers, another fan added: "Maybe we can wear these for camouflage next time gastro strikes the fam?"

So you see, these tracksuit bottoms do have their uses...
