Foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) have called for an immediate ceasefire to what they called military hostilities in Ukraine.
The Asean ministers said in a statement on Thursday that they were deeply troubled by the intensifying gravity of the situation in Ukraine.
In the statement that made no mention of Russia, the Asean ministers believed there was "still room for a peaceful dialogue".
The bloc stood ready to facilittate peaceful dialogue among parties concerned in any possible way, the statement said.

On Wednesday, Thailand voted to support a United Nations resolution demanding an immediate withdrawal of the Russian forces from Ukraine and deploring Russia's "aggression against Ukraine". However, the kingdom did not mention Russia by name in a statement showing its position on the issue.
The Thai embassy in Poland reported on Thursday that 31 Thais decided not to leave Ukraine for personal reasons, mainly having a Ukrainian family, and that the embassy was trying to help one Thai stranded in Severodonetsk city and seven in Mykolayiv city.
