ASDA shopper goes viral after sharing husband's hilarious blunder

A woman's story about her husband's hilarious Asda mix-up has gone viral.

Her tweet has racked up more than 55,000 likes and even Specsavers got involved in the ensuing jokes.

It all started when the woman ordered some daffodils from Asda, Manchester Evening News.

Posting on Twitter, she explained: "Funny story. I ordered some daffs from Asda this week which didn't turn up so I complained and got a refund.

"Turns out Dave thought they were spring onions and they've been in the fridge for the last three days."

Spotting the opportunity to get involved, the Specsavers account joked: "See you soon, Dave."

Helen then replied: "Perhaps if your Cramlington branch answered the phone for him to be able to make a lens check appointment I wouldn't be picking flowers out of my burrito?"

Specsavers responded: "We're currently making contact with Cramlington to get Dave a response. In the meantime, DM us your address and we'll send you some proper flowers. Dave, take note."

Hundreds of other people also replied to the tweet.

One person said: "My 10 year old did the opposite - she sent spring onions as a Mothers Day gift by accident..."

Another wrote: "Liam_Prior97 this reminds me of the time you tried to be funny and say you had a leek under your sink and sent a pic of what you thought was a leek under your sink but it was in fact a spring onion."

"As a greengrocer, I can confirm this happens on a very regular basis," said somebody else.
