As Kilmar Abrego Garcia walks free, judge rules feds ‘misled’ court, Trump admin erupts into impotent fury

The Trump administration has thrown the full weight of its fury at Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Having earned their ire by committing the heinous crime of making them look foolish by deporting him by mistake, then vowing he would never return to the United States, and bullying him when he did return, they’ve tried their absolute hardest to make his life a living hell.

Their most recent plans were to ship him off to some third-world hellhole. Fortunately for Abrego Garcia, he had the constitution firmly on his side and – even after months and months of deep dives into his past – Trump’s goons couldn’t find any real dirt to pin on him.

Now he’s back home in Beltsville, Maryland after ICE freed him following a court ruling by US District Judge Paula Xinis, who not only ruled that federal authorities detained him without any legal basis, but discovered that he’d never even been given a deportation order in the first place!

The truth still matters

Given that gullible MAGA rubes have been eagerly swallowing various untruths about Garcia for months now, they’re predictably apoplectic. Apparently not having learned her lesson, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt fell back to yet more outright lies:

Meanwhile, MAGA is busy attacking the judge (all the while parroting the same lies they’ve been force-fed):

In a way, it’s a little uplifting that, despite everything, facts and the law still matter in Trump’s America. Trump focused the power of multiple federal authorities on one innocent man but, ultimately, the truth was that Abrego Garcia just isn’t the violent criminal they so desperately want him to be.

We can only hope he gets to resume a relatively normal life after this nightmare. But, somehow, we suspect the Trump administration isn’t going to let this grudge go.
