Arsenal striker 'open' to exit amid Liverpool transfer rumours

Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun has spoken out about his future, potentially alerting Liverpool to his situation.

The Reds were linked with the 20-year-old striker ahead of the summer transfer window and prior to him signing a new long-term deal with the Gunners.

However, despite being involved with the Arsenal first team in the early weeks of the season, Balogun has seen his game time reduced and has admitted his situation needs to change.

“I feel like I am definitely open to a new challenge, wherever it is I will be ready,” he said after scoring in a 3-1 win for England under-21's on Thursday.

“As a striker and as a young player you need minutes. It is the best way to learn and get consistency.”

Ian Wright makes Trent Alexander-Arnold claim after Reece James stars for England

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has given his verdict on the battle between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James for a space in Gareth Southgate’s England side.

The Liverpool defender started the game on the bench as James starred in a right wingback role against Albania on Friday night.

Alexander-Arnold came on for the Chelsea man on 77 minutes but Wright used the fact that James started as proof of his quality.

“He’s keeping someone like Trent Alexander-Arnold out, who is a fantastic player himself,” Wright told ITV Sport.
