Arsenal XI vs Man City: No Eze - starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Carabao Cup final

Eberechi Eze has been ruled out of the Carabao Cup final in a significant blow for Arsenal.

The 27-year-old is enjoying a much better run of form, smashing in a brilliant goal against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League in midweek, but is not involved at Wembley against Manchester City due to a lower leg injury.

Kai Havertz now gets the nod at No10, with Viktor Gyokeres leading the line. The pair have had a good partnership in their limited minutes on the pitch together.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, meanwhile, starts in goal, having played in every round of the competition so far and Mikel Arteta has decided to keep faith with him at Wembley.

It is a bold call from Arteta to start Kepa ahead of David Raya, who has been in brilliant form.

Arteta confirmed in his press conference on Friday that he had decided who would play in goal but declined to say publicly.

But the Arsenal boss was keen to emphasise the idea that there would not be a major drop-off in quality if Kepa did start.

"With the quality of the keepers that we have right now, they are both Internationals, they play at the highest level, higher clubs and they have the experience to deal with any kind of situation," said Arteta.

Martin Odegaard has been out for a month with a knee injury, while Jurrien Timber missed the midweek Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen.

However both players trained on Saturday, but are not involved.
