Arsenal vs Crystal Palace confirmed teams: Tierney makes first PL start as Lacazette starts

Kieran Tierney is set to make his first Premier League start for Arsenal against a Crystal Palace side bearing only one change from the team that lost 2-0 to Manchester City.

Tierney replaces Sead Kolasinac in one of three changes Unai Emery has made to the side who lost 1-0 to Sheffield United in the Premier League on Monday. The Scottish international is also one of only two players to feature today who started against Vitoria on Thursday.

The other holdover from that side is Alexandre Lacazette, who is set to lead the line with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang playing in the left wing role that was previously Bukayo Saka's. Dani Ceballos replaces another young gun who started against Sheffield United, Joe Willock.

Unsurprisingly there is no room in Arsenal's matchday squad for Mesut Ozil, who Emery confirmed on Saturday night has been sidelined as part of club policy.

"Here, we have one agreed strategy as a club and as a team," Emery said with regards to Ozil.

"Because the most important thing is the club, the team and finding a performance. Previously we were all speaking between us to take that decision."
