It was a fantastic start to Arsenal’s Premier League season on Saturday, as they cruised past newly-promoted Fulham.
New signing Willian was involved in every goal, and Gabriel Magalhaes netted on his debut in what was a brilliant beginning to life at the Gunners for the recently signed duo.
It appears that Mikel Arteta isn’t done there in terms of reinforcements if rumours are to be believed.
With that being said, here are the very latest Arsenal transfer rumours.
Martinez completes Aston Villa medical
Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has completed a medical with Aston Villa ahead of a £20m move away from the Emirates Stadium.
That’s according to talkSPORT, who are saying that the 28-year-old has now finished his medical at Villa Park after being left out of the Gunners’ squad in Saturday’s win at Fulham.
The same report also suggests that Arsenal are looking at David Raya, and are even preparing a £10m bid for the Spanish shot-stopper.
The Brentford goalkeeper would likely be brought in to act as a back-up option to the Germany international Bernd Leno.
Arsenal star wants to be involved in Atletico swap deal
Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi wants to be involved in a swap deal for Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey, according to the Daily Mail.
Partey has been linked with a move to the Emirates for the majority of the summer, and the Gunners could offer a player as part of a swap deal for the Ghanaian.
That man could be Guendouzi, who is keen to move to the Wanda Metropolitano, with Partey also interested in a move to England.
It seems as if Guendouzi is now out-of-favour under Arteta - and was not selected in Arsenal’s 18-man squad to play Fulham on Saturday.
Gunners keen on Ligue 1 winger
Arsenal are interested in signing Dijon winger Mounir Chouiar, but may face competition, according to French outlet L’Equipe, via Inside Futbol.
The 21-year-old caught the eye with some of his performances last season in Ligue 1, and he wants to find a way out of Dijon, the report says.
Chouiar will not feature for Dijon in their Ligue 1 match against Brest, which has fuelled even more rumours over his future.
Arsenal have been named as one of three Premier League clubs monitoring his situation, with Leeds United and Wolves also keen.
