Arsenal supporters noticed what Eddie Nketiah did before scoring his first England U21 goals

Eddie Nketiah is giving Arsenal supporters plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the future.

The striker is on loan at Leeds United for the campaign, even going against Gunners head coach Unai Emery's wishes.

"The manager wanted me to stay so it's really confidence-boosting for me that he had me in his plans," Nketiah said.

"But I felt like it was a good step for me to come to Leeds. I hope it's a good year that can leave me in good stead going back to Arsenal to fight for a place.

"There were a lot of options, there were options for me to go to Germany but me, my family and the club decided Leeds was the best place."

And judging by his performance for the England Under-21's against their Turkey counterparts on Friday night, who can blame him for jumping at the chance for a loan move?

Nketiah - who has already scored three goals in five appearances for Leeds this season - opened the scoring just four minutes but Dogukan Sinik equalised for the hosts before half time.

Mert Muldur gave Turkey the lead soon after the break before Nketiah scored his second of the game to draw England level.

Just a minute later, Reiss Nelson scored the winner.

But most of the reaction has centred around Nketiah and in particular his movement for both goals.
