Adidas has announced Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori as its first ever underwear ambassador.
Though currently injured, Premier League defender Calafiori is the new face of the brand’s Active Flex Collection, which comprises three key garments: the three-stripes briefs, the three-stripes trunks, and another pair of briefs.
Calafiori’s personal favourite? The trunks.
Speaking on the range, the footballer said: “I’m a comfort-first type of person. Whether I’m training, in the locker room, enjoying time away from the pitch, or even just doing my laundry.

“But, when I’m playing a game, everything changes; it’s as if I become a different person. In games, I’m obsessed [with] perfection, in every detail.”
The entire collection is made from cotton, with moisture-wicking properties, chafe-free construction, four-way stretch, and a contoured pouch for all-day support.
Riccardo Calafiori said fashion is one of his interests aside from football, self-proclaiming his sense of style as “wild”.
For him, confidence means expressing himself, with this collection allowing his fans to see the person behind the player, he said.
Calafiori’s first season at Arsenal has been plagued with injury. While playing for his home-team, Italy, the defender took a tumble when his left knee buckled during the Nations League quarterfinal defeat to Germany.

He’s expected to be returning to the Arsenal squad ahead of their semi-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on April 29.
He’s not the only Arsenal player suffering from injury, with Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhães, Jorginho, and Bukayo Saka all currently injured – but he is the only Arsenal player with Adidas underwear ambassador status.
