Arsenal's plan for £20m windfall as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang confirms discussions over new deal

Here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Aubameyang contract update

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed Arsenal are yet to offer him a contract extension.

The 30-year-old's deal is due to expire at the end of next season, leaving the Gunners with a massive decision to make ahead of the summer transfer window.

And whilst, there have been discussions over a new deal, nothing is on the table at the moment Aubameyang has suggested the ball is firmly in the club's court.

The impact of Arsenal's lost match-day income

"Recently I haven't received an offer but of course there have been discussions with the club," he told French outlet Telefoot. "It's them [the club] who have the keys and for them to do their work. Afterwards, we will see what happens.

"It is a turning point in my career. I have been very frank with everyone. It will be of course a very difficult decision to make.

"It is possibly the most important decision of my career. But so far nothing has been decided."

Arsenal hoping to offload Maitland-Niles

Arsenal are hoping to offload youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer.

That's according to the Sun, who claim the Gunners are hoping to get £20m in return for their versatile 22-year-old.

Furthermore, the report suggests the Gunners want to offload Maitland-Niles in order to fund a new contract for Aubameyang.

This keeps in line with previous reports regarding Maitland-Niles' future.

According to The Athletic he is a potential candidate to be sold when the transfer window reopens in order to raise funds so that Arteta can bolster his squad in other areas.

Edouard admission

Odsonne Edouard has admitted that he is flattered by reported interest from Arsenal.

However, the Frenchman - a possible replacement for Aubameyang - says he is firmly focused on making history at Celtic.

"It shows you are working hard and doing the right things as a player. It is flattering, but I just concentrate on trying to play well for Celtic," he told the Daily Mail. "That's what I am focused on at the moment.

"Winning 10 in a row is very important for the club, the players and the fans.

"Of course, I would love to be part of it. No one knows what will happen in the future but I want to be a part of it.

"My first target right now is to play football again after so much time away from the pitch. I only set personal targets for myself once the season actually starts. At the moment, I am still under contract with Celtic and my priority is to get back playing again. In the future, we will see what happens."

Partey transfer boost

Arsenal's hopes of signing Thomas Partey this summer may have been given a massive boost.

The Ghana midfielder is thought to be on Mikel Arteta's transfer wishlist, but could face competition from La Liga leaders Barcelona for his signature.

Or will they?

In what can only be considered as great news for Arsenal and Arteta, key people at Atletico Madrid have given up hope of keeping Partey.

That's according to the reliable @RuizAntonito.

The report also states that Partey's next destination will be the Premier League and Arsenal are best placed to seal a deal.
