Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is focused on his club football and is yet to decide on whether to represent Brazil or Italy at international level.
The 18-year-old has been a sensation since arriving in North London from Ituano last summer, breaking into the first team under Unai Emery and becoming increasingly important since Mikel Arteta's reign began.
His performances have not gone unnoticed and a fight for his services has emerged on the international stage, where Brazil and Italy are both seeking his allegiances.
Brazil wanted to use him for the U23 Olympic qualifying tournament this month but Arsenal kept him for the first-team - and Martinelli has not ruled out representing Italy.
"I have Italian citizenship from my father. So I have the option of playing for Brazil or Italy," he told the Evening Standard.
"But that's just the future; I have to keep working here at Arsenal, and only then we will see what lies ahead.
Martinelli has plenty of time to make his decision, as he would not be tied to one nation until he featured for the senior squad in a competitive match.
While both nations want him, it's unlikely he will be playing competitive football at senior level in the near future as it's likely too late to earn a spot in the squad for the European Championships this summer.
Brazil, meanwhile, begin their lengthy qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup in March and the next Copa America is this summer, taking place in Argentina and Colombia.
