Arsenal's fourth summer transfer announcement could be imminent after what Edu did on Instagram

Arsenal have completed three signings so far this summer, and a fourth could be imminent.

Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White are the new arrivals at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign which kicks off next Friday against Brentford.

But there's still a lot more work for Arsenal technical director Edu to do before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Mikel Arteta's first-team squad is lacking in many areas hence links to the likes of Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison and Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Whether the Gunners are able to sign the aforementioned trio remains to be seen, although, with so much business to be done, Edu has sparked a massive reaction from some supporters on social media.

As spotted by @Ahmed91Gooner and uploaded to Twitter, the Brazilian posted an image on Instagram of him on holiday in Spain.

And it's safe to say that judging by some of the responses, fans aren't too pleased with the former midfielder taking a trip during what is an important remaining few weeks of the transfer window.

However, it should be noted that this isn't the first time in recent weeks where Edu has taken a short break.

In fact, just last month he was reunited with Arsenal's former Head of Football Raul Sanllehi in Monaco.

Interestingly, a few days later Arsenal announced the signing of Lokonga from Anderlecht and finally reached an agreement with Brighton for White.

Perhaps this is an indication that the Gunners' fourth signing of the summer is very close.

It would be the perfect response to those supporters who are growing quite frustrated with the lack of signings.
