Arsenal player ratings vs AC Milan as Mohamed Elneny impresses and Karl Hein shows composure

Karl Hein: Not tested as much as in the first half as Arsenal took more control of the game. Maintained good concentration. A nice moment to dribble away from Brahim Diaz in a moment that could have been a lot hairier. Showed more of his penalty-saving expertise too! 7.

Cedric: Defended well after coming on showed good intensity to stop Milan from getting in behind. Showed decent athleticism to attack considering that he's not played much for a while now. 7.

Rob Holding: Less defending to do than in the first half. Led well at the back yet again. 7.

Gabriel: Strong in the duel. Competed with the intensity that was befitting of a game for more important than a friendly. 7.

Kieran Tierney: Bombed up and down and showed good levels of intensity as the game progressed which will be welcome given the important role he could have to play while Zinchenko is out. 7.

Mohamed Elneny: Nice passing at the base of the midfield even if not necessarily as press resistant as Partey. Clearly a real leader in this Arsenal side now. 7.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: Showed some good moments dribbling away from pressure in the middle of the park. Needs to be a bit more decisive in the final third though. 6.

Martin Odegaard: The Norwegian midfielder has looked really good in this preseason and continued that form in the second half with some sublime touches. 7.

Fabio Vieira: More influential in this second half but still relatively limited. Came off around the 70-minute mark as Arsenal look to build him up. 6.

Eddie Nketiah: Ridiculously booked for an accidental elbow. Although he didn't score what will be pleasing is the all-round nature of his performance which was promising yet again. 7.

Reiss Nelson: Some nice drives down the left from the Arsenal winger. As the tempo of the game dropped though his influence wasn't as strong. 6.

Substitutes -

Marquinhos: Got involved in a scuffle with Tomori that was slightly needless. Might have wanted to do more after coming on. 6.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.

Amario Cozier-Duberry: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.

Lino Sousa: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.

Ethan Nwaneri: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.
