Nicolas Pepe is set to become an Arsenal player and his new club and future teammates have taken it upon themselves to add a bit of mischief while fans wait for confirmation of his arrival.
After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang borrowed the Ivorain's goal celebration after finding the back of the net against Lyon at the Emirates Cup he traded Instagram messages with his strike partner, Alexandre Lacazette, in which they both repeated the hand gesture.
On social media, Granit Xhaka and other members of the first team dressing room have been spotted liking updates on the progress of the deal to being the 24-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.
The club went one step further ahead of kick off against Angers with a update on their official live blog that was anything but subtle.
In an update posted ahead of team news, the Arsenal feed added: "It's been a promising pre-season, with plenty of players catching the eye during our games in the United States, a couple of new additions joining the ranks recently...
"...and, who knows, maybe more will follow in the not-too-distant future."
Kieran Tierney is another signing who could follow the three first-team captures this summer following confirmation of Pepe's move.
Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos and William Saliba have all joined the Gunners this summer, although the Spaniard has only come in on loan while the Frenchman will stay at Saint-Etienne for one more season.
Lille forward and Ivorian internatinal Nicolas Pepe scored 22 goals and set up 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season.
He is expected to form a formidable new front three for the Gunners under Unai Emery alongside Aubameyang and Lacazette.
