Arsenal may have been dealt a major setback in their bid to land Lyon star Houssem Aouar.
The Gunners have been linked with the midfielder throughout this summer but are running out of time.
Lyon have made it clear that if there is no deal agreed for Aouar by Friday, he will be going nowhere.
And at the final hour, Champions League finalists PSG appear to have entered the race.
According to L'Equipe, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi has already held talks with his Lyon counterpart Jean-Michael Aulas over a potential move for Aouar.
That could be a huge setback for Arsenal who have seen their offers so far rejected, Lyon wanting £45million for their star midfielder.
PSG will likely be able to afford that fee, but there is some hope for the Gunners.
L'Equipe also say that Aouar prefers a move abroad rather than staying in France and that talk of Juventus interest was little more than a smokescreen.
Though, the PSG interest is understood to be real and may be Aouar's only real option unless Arsenal make a bid Lyon deem acceptable by Friday.
