Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta hints at interest in one day managing PSG

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted at a willingness to one day manage Paris Saint-Germain.

Arteta sent a season on loan at PSG across 2001 and 2002, winning the Intertoto Cup before leaving Barcelona for Rangers.

His history with the club has prompted links with a possible return, he was in December mentioned as a candidate when Thomas Tuchel was sacked before Mauricio Pochettino - with whom he played with at PSG - was appointed.

But Arteta, who continues to learn his trade at Arsenal, is not looking for a new role just yet with "a lot of work to do" with the Gunners.

"I love Paris, I love Paris," he told BeIN Sports FR, via GFFN.

"I have very good memories from over there. It was my first club as a professional. The club is always in my heart.

"You never know, but I have a lot of work to do (at Arsenal)."

He also said: "PSG have an incredible team ... the manager Mauricio Pochettino is a coach that I am close to because I played with him at PSG.

"He is a very, very strong manager and I hope that he will win a lot of titles with PSG."
