Armie Hammer has been dropped by his talent agency amid claims he sent a string of disturbing messages.
Hammer, 34, has been embroiled in a social-media scandal after alleged direct posts surfaced online alluding to misconduct on the actor's part.
Some of the alleged messages, which were leaked on Instagram, featured graphic sexual fantasies involving cannibalism.
The actor, who stepped down from future film roles as the scandal intensified, lost the support of his talent agency William Morris Endeavour over the weekend.
Variety also reports that the actor’s personal publicist has dropped the Call Me by Your Name actor.
Rebecca star Hammer called the allegations “bulls**t” with his lawyer, Andrew Brettler, adding: “The stories being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing Mr Hammer’s reputation, and communications from the individuals involved prove that.”
The actor has spoken publicly about his sexual proclivities in the past. In 2013, he described himself as a “dominant lover” in an interview with Playboy.
“I liked the grabbing of the neck and the hair and all that. But then you get married and your sexual appetites change," he said, referencing his now-estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers. “And I mean that for the better – it’s not like I’m suffering in any way. But you can’t really pull your wife’s hair.
“It gets to a point where you say, ‘I respect you too much to do these things that I kind of want to do.'"
The actor, who also appeared in The Social Network, later blamed the quote on having had too much to drink.
“Let’s just say hindsight is 20/20,” Hammer told E! News. "Don’t drink during an interview.”
