Armed robberies reported in Cragin, Hermosa: police

Police are warning residents of three armed robberies reported this week in Hermosa and Cragin on the Northwest Side.

In each case, the suspect walked up to someone and pulled out a handgun, Chicago police said.

A robbery happened at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of West North Avenue, police said.

On Wednesday, another robbery took place at 5 a.m. in the 4700 block of West Palmer Street, and a third happened 45 minutes later in the 2300 block of North Leclaire Avenue, police said.

The suspect was described as a man in his 20s standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9 and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds.
