Argos website down leaves fans hoping PS5 consoles are being restocked

Argos has caused huge anticiapation among shoppers this morning due to its website being currently unavailable.

Its website has been down since around 10am today and many shoppers are hoping this is due to the retailer working on restocking PS5 consoles.

A message on Argos' website currently reads: "Sorry about this. We're just fixing something, bear with us and we'll be back soon".

Its mobile app is also down too with a message on its landing page reading: "We're updating our app to bring you more of what you love.

"Go make yourself a cuppa - we'll be back before you can say 'Milk and 2 sugars".

While the website could just be preparing for its Black Friday stock and deals, fans are hoping its all about the PS5.

On Twitter, user @@SaqyCR7 said: "Argos website down since 10am could this mean they are loading new PS5 stock any ideas?"

@MrsVanderCave said: "Every time I see a website down, I immediately think; have they released some #PS5 stock?@Argos_Online website down currently!

@HUGHESY446 said: "@ArgosHelpers has argos restock the ps5 or is the website down"

Sony's PS5 was released last Thursday and demand was huge with websites including John Lewis and Amazon crashing as a result of how many people were trying to access it.

There were also huge queues outside stores as shoppers waiting to click and collect the new consoles.
