Argos issues 'immediate' recall for baby sleep bags as they could make kids overheat

Argos has issued an urgent recall notice to people who have bought some of its Baby Sleep Bags for safety reasons.

The retailer is warning mums and dads that the level of insulation provided by these bags exceeds the specified rating.

In a statement, it said: "This may cause an infant to overheat."

The product in question is style numbers 134877764 and 134878142, pictured above.

Argos told parents to "stop using the sleep bag immediately" and return them to an Argos store or a Sainsbury’s click and collect store for a full refund.

The store assured parents that they won't need a proof of purchase.

If you don't have an Argos or Sainsbury’s click and collect store near to you, it said to contact them on 0800 028 6658 or email  tucustomerservices@sainsburys.co.uk  and they will get a returns label to be sent to you.

The helpline is open 8am-8pm Monday to Sunday.
