The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced on Friday that it has destroyed a mine planted by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in the southern Red Sea.

The Sadaf-type mine was manufactured by Iran, said the coalition joint command.

The Houthis’ hostile acts, with Iran’s support, threaten the security of the Mandeb Strait, it continued.

The mine is the 171th such Houthi explosive that the coalition has destroyed in the Red Sea.
