Apple issues urgent warning to iPhone users amid hacker fears

Apple has issued an urgent warning to all iPhone users amid fears of hackers using apps to gain full access to the device.

iPhone owners have been urged to update their phones to the newest update iOS 16.1.1 to protect themselves from devious criminals. This update, which comes just two weeks after the release of iOS 16.1, aims to fix bugs and security issues.

Apple's support page states the update will stop remote users from causing "unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution". You can update your device by going to "Settings", tapping "General", and selecting "Software Update".
