Hold onto your wine glasses, because Channel Nine is digging deep into the Married At First Sight archives and dusting off some of its OG gems for what insiders are calling a potential MAFS All-Stars series.
Yep, apparently in a bid to save the reality TV juggernaut from fully going off the rails (last season was abject chaos), producers are reaching out to past contestants with actual fan appeal. Not just headline-grabbing ‘drama monsters.’
One name already being floated? Cheryl Maitland. That’s right. The queen of awkward dinner parties and unintentionally iconic moments might just be back on our screens.

“They want to bring back the humour,” one source told PEDESTRIAN.TV. “Finally, less toxicity and more tea.”
The move makes sense. MAFS has copped plenty of flack for spiralling into full-blown trauma TV in recent years and producers clearly want to steer things back toward its slightly more wholesome roots. Think loveable, quirky contestants we actually want to root for, not people signing up just to boost their Instagram following. Speaking off, check out which MAFS 2025 stars ended up raking in the most followers after this season.
The MAFS All-Stars concept would let viewers check in with some of their fave ex-participants to see where they landed — emotionally, spiritually and yes, relationship-wise. Because let’s be real: we need to know if Cheryl ever found someone who didn’t make her cry at a commitment ceremony.
This isn’t about messy breakups and gaslighting confessionals (thank god). It’s about tapping into the nostalgia of MAFS’ glory days and reminding us that yes, once upon a time, the show gave us genuine moments of connection… mixed with wine throwing and passive-aggressive toast.
If MAFS All-Stars gets off the ground, expect more PG-friendly drama, a bit of cheeky flirting and maybe, just maybe a second shot at love for some of the OGs who deserved better.
Phone calls started last week. With availability being checked. Plus, of course, making sure all current relationship status’ are addressed.
So let’s just say anyone who didn’t go rogue and flush their secrets on grubby podcasts will be getting a call.
“Sorry Jacqui [Burfoot], who will probably be single when filming begins in August,” the shady source added.
Rumours of a MAFS All Stars and even a Celebrity Edition have been kicking around for years now. Apparently Nine is finally ready to take the plunge!
We love to see it.
