Antony explains his pet name for Manchester United teammate Casemiro

Antony has revealed his special nickname for teammate Casemiro after his bright start to life at Manchester United.

United added two samba starts to their squad in the summer window when they agreed a £60million deal to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid and spent another £85m on Ajax forward Antony.

The Brazil internationals are both still settling into life in Manchester but have quickly established themselves as key members of the first-team squad under Erik ten Hag.

Speaking ahead of the match with Chelsea at the weekend, Casemiro was asked about which goal celebration supporters could expect from him - a rather fitting question given what happened in the match at Stamford Bridge.

Despite suggesting he'd modestly celebrate any goal he was to score in a United shirt, the former Real Madrid midfielder reacted wildly after his dramatic equaliser, his first goal for the club.

When asked if he had a celebration in mind, Casemiro told United Review: "As you know, I'm a bit more serious." Antony then interjected, stating: "Casemiro is a more serious type", before the midfielder add: "Yes, I'm more serious."

Antony then elaborated on his answer by explaining how he views Casemiro's role on the pitch. He joked: "I always say he's our guard dog in the middle. He's a no-nonsense guy, a more serious type. I think he'll leave these goal celebrations to us attacking players!"
