Antonio Rudiger sends two-word message to Kepa Arrizabalaga after Chelsea bust-up

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has put minds at ease over his training ground clash with Kepa Arrizabalaga on Sunday.

The pair squared off at Cobham on Sunday after the Chelsea stars were in on Easter to put some extra miles in following Saturday's disappointing defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

The defeat to the relegation-threatened Baggies ended the Blues' 15-game unbeaten streak and was the first defeat of the Thomas Tuchel reign.

It was also a loss that left some tension in the air with a reported argument in the changing room after the game between Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James.

And that was followed by a heated exchange between Kepa and Rudiger in training when the two players had to be separated following a tough challenge from the defender during a small-sided game.

"Don't get me wrong, it was serious," said Tuchel on the incident. "Sometimes you have little, little situations when you look away and let them sort things out.

"This was not the case. We needed to interfere in this situation so it was serious. How the guys handled the situation was impressive and showed a lot of character. But the situation was serious."

But Chelsea fans need not worry about the incident having a lasting impact.

It was reported following the clash that Rudiger had apologised to Kepa on his own accord, making up with the Spaniard.

And Rudiger has now followed that up by posting a picture of him and Kepa to his Instagram story with the caption 'Mi Hermano' which is Spanish for 'My Brother'.

It seems it's water under the bridge for the pair and that all concentration is back on the race for the top four and the Blues' Champions League bid.
