Antonio Conte endeared himself to Tottenham Hotspur fans by thanking them for their support ahead of kick-off at Everton on Sunday afternoon.
The trip to Goodison Park marked Conte's first Premier League game as Spurs manager following Thursday's 3-2 victory over Vitesse in the Europa Conference League.
The Italian was unveiled earlier this week shortly after Nuno Espirito Santo's sacking and he is tasked with resurrecting Tottenham's chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
Conte's appointment has been met with a positive reaction due to his impressive record at former clubs Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Nuno's relationship with Spurs supporters broke down towards the end of his four-month reign, and his successor is keen to strike up a better bond with the fanbase.
