Antonio Conte's stance on Dele Alli transfer revealed as Danny Rose makes Tottenham admission

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Wednesday, December 1.

Conte's stance on Alli transfer

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte believes he can 'unlock' the potential of Dele Alli, according to a report from Eurosport.

The 25-year-old, who has less than three years remaining on his Spurs contract, is expected to receive some interest over the summer transfer window due to his lack of playing time this season.

Alli was once one of Tottenham's top attacking players, but has not been that player for a while now, but Conte thinks he can unleash his talent once again at Spurs and therefore does not want to sell the former England international.

King offers advice to academy stars

Ledley King says that with hard work and focus, bright sparks in Tottenham's academy can follow in the footsteps of Oliver Skipp, who has come from the development squad right into the first team.

Skipp has become a regular in the first team this season and King has now told some of Spurs' brightest academy players how they can replicate what the midfielder has done this term.

"Skippy is a great example of hard work and discipline," King said. "He is someone who came through the youth team and he was always focused and so mature in the way he played the game and the way he conducted himself.

"For a lot of young players, you see when someone is so dedicated to their craft and how far it can really take them."

Rose makes Watford and Spurs comparison

Danny Rose has picked out the key difference of being at Watford compared to his time at Tottenham.

Rose left Spurs after over a decade in north London over the summer and moved to the Hornets and is now playing under Claudio Ranieri.

The former England left-back has now drawn comparisons to his time at Tottenham in relation to his new club.

Speaking in the Hornets' matchday programme recently, he said: "He (Ranieri) demands a lot of hard work. If you do that for him that's half the battle.

"This is in no way disrespectful to Tottenham, but there's this idea about 'the Tottenham Way' which is all-out attack whereas here, what we need is more discipline."
