Antonio Conte makes Eden Hazard transfer decision clear as Spurs threaten Chelsea's dream window

Welcome to our football.london Carefree Chelsea daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.

Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.

Lampard caught in two minds

Former Chelsea and Derby County boss Frank Lampard has been handed a dilemma he must solve quickly else he faces walking away empty-handed.

The Blues' all-time top goalscorer is set to be appointed as the Norwich City manager, according to talkSPORT, however, new reports have surfaced that suggest otherwise.

Lampard is now a 'top contender' for the Rangers job following the opening created by Steven Gerrard's appointment at Aston Villa, report the Times.

The former England international has been left with a tough decision to make but must make his decision soon following news that the Scottish side have scheduled talks with Gio van Bronckhorst, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Our view: Norwich or Rangers? Such a hard decision, I think. Unless Lampard can keep Norwich up then a Premier League relegation just tarnishes his CV and if they get promoted again, so what?

However, if I were Lampard, I wouldn't touch the Rangers job especially after Gerrard's incredible success there - it'll just draw comparisons and hamper his image.

Neither jobs are ideal but I'd go for Norwich and gamble of the fact that saving the Canaries from relegation would put some proper respect and weight to his managerial credentials.

Dortmund plot Ziyech deal

Hakim Ziyech wants to leave Stamford Bridge and Borussia Dortmund are keen on drafting the Moroccan on loan this winter, according to German outlet BILD.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has struggled to make an impression at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel, averaging just 49 minutes a game under the German over the course of 32 appearances.

Our view: I think this is the move that Ziyech needs to rekindle his form. Dortmund are a top club with a star striker in the side and there's a nice dynamic for him to fit in.

The German side isn't desperate for a creative force like the Moroccan which allows him time to integrate himself but they could do with a star creator, allowing him to settle into becoming the main man.

Marcos Reus has a history of injuries that could hit at any moment and Giovanni Reyna remains a prodigy who's still developing. Go for it, Hakim.

Conte rejects Hazard deal

Antonio Conte has rejected the chance to sign Eden Hazard at Tottenham despite Daniel Levy's interest in pursuing a deal for the Belgian.

The former Chelsea boss, who won the Premier League and FA Cup alongside the 30-year-old winger, opted against reuniting with Hazard but has instead eyed Gareth Bale.

"Daniel Levy would like to take a Real Madrid player who is always injured," said journalist Eduardo Inda, speaking to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito.

"He wanted to sign Eden Hazard, but Conte has told him ‘no’ because he knows him from when he trained at Chelsea and says that he has little intensity and that he is not a very hard worker.

"The most striking thing is the player that Conte has asked Levy to take him to London. He is Gareth Bale."

Our view: Whilst I think that Conte has missed out on the opportunity to complete what could be the best attack in the league, I doubt Hazard would've accepted Spurs' advances.
