Antonio Conte claimed back in 2017 that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is worth "at least" £100million.
Conte is in talks with Spurs in regards to taking over Jose Mourinho following his sacking in April, according to various media outlets, including Sky Sports.
The Italian head coach previously managed Tottenham's London rivals Chelsea, where he managed to secure the Premier League title during his two-year spell at Stamford Bridge.
Most recently, the 51-year-old was in charge of Inter Milan, where he won the Serie A title, but following a reported falling out with the club's board, he stepped down at the San Siro.
But Conte was full of praise for Tottenham striker Kane when he was in England, with the Italian manager raving about the talents of the England star back in 2017.
He said: “Tottenham is a really good squad if they are able to keep all the players.
“For me, [Harry] Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world. If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker.
“He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he’s strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left. He’s a complete player.
"He’s one of the top strikers in the world. If you go to buy Kane now it would be at least £100m, at least.
"For me, if I see this price for a striker I know for sure he’s a big striker.”
Spurs have also been linked with the likes of Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino and Brendan Rodgers over the empty spot in the club's dugout.
