Antonio Conte escalates Thomas Tuchel ding dong as Tottenham boss warns rival 'lucky I didn't see you'

Tough-talking Antonio Conte has continued his incredible spat with Thomas Tuchel by warning the Chelsea boss during a late night social media post.

The Tottenham boss and his dugout rival were both sent off during Sunday's pulsating 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge which resulted in both given their marching order. The duo were at it from the off but the running battle escalated when Conte raced over to the German after Pierre-Emile Hjolberg made it 1-1.

The Battle of the Bridge 2 was then given an epic finale as Conte and Tuchel both refused to break a frosty full time handshake which sparked a wild melee, with both benches getting involved. But the Italian's bone of contention on Instagram centred around Tuchel channeling his inner Jose Mourinho by sprinting down the touchline when Reece James made it 2-1.

Conte, posting on social media, said: "Lucky I didn't see you...making your trip across would have been well deserved". The accompanying image shows the former Chelsea boss with his head down as Tuchel sprints down the sideline.

Both were unbowed at the final whistle while they also tried to downplay the incredible scenes beamed across the globe. A looming FA ban is likely with Premier League hierarchy expected to take a dim view over the scenes at the final whistle. The acrimony between both clubs escalated when Chelsea ended Tottenham's title dream in 2016 in one of the most ill-tempered fixtures in English football history.
