Antoine Griezmann '1000%' not joining Barcelona this summer, says Atletico president Enrique Cerezo

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo insists France forward Antoine Griezmann will not be leaving to join Barcelona this summer.

The Atleti attacker was wanted by the Catalan club last summer, but announced his decision to stay in a documentary aired at the start of the World Cup.

Griezmann went on to win that competition with France and has been linked with Barcelona again after a frustrating season at Atletico, with Diego Simeone's side set to end the campaign without a major trophy.

But speaking to TVE in a sports gala in Alicante, Cerezo said: "There is no chance of Griezmann leaving next summer. He is going to stay at Atletico: 1000%."

Defender Lucas Hernandez will move to Bayern Munich in the summer after the German giants agreed to pay the player's €80 million release clause and several others are expected to leave the Rojiblancos at the end of the season.

"Those that will go, will go," Cerezo said. "And those that will stay, will stay...

"Griezmann is an Atletico player and will be for many years, so it would be good if you (the media) dropped the matter..."
