Anti Just Stop Oil group wear ‘Just Stop Pissing Everyone Off’ t-shirts as they confront eco protesters

Just Stop Oil activists were surrounded by a group of counter-protesters in London wearing T-shirts with a logo attacking their tactic of bringing parts of London to a standstill.

The rebel demonstrators formed a human chain around members of Just Stop Oil, who were sitting on ground at Elephant & Castle, in south London.

They were wearing T-shirts that read “Just Stop Pissing Everyone Off”.

“Supporters of Just Stop Oil were met with a counter-protest while preparing to slow march in Elephant & Castle,” a statement from the group read.

“But after explaining their reasoning for demanding an end to new oil and gas, the counter-protesters dispersed.”

Footage on twitter shows the counter-protesters questioning the tactics of the group in a mild mannered clash.

One of the Just Stop Oil protesters referring to the fact that the counter demonstrators were planning to block their ‘slow march’ to disrupt traffic said: “What’s your plan, I hope you are willing stay here as long as we are.”

Earlier this week a protester was attacked by a man who claimed his partner was pregnant and that a sit down protest had caused them to prang their car. This was only one of many incidents in London in recent months as commuters and tourists have lost their temper as Just Stop Oil cause upheaval to everyday lives.

Last week the opening night BBC Proms was interrupted by protesters from campaign group Just Stop Oil, who also disrupted filming for comedy show The Last Leg just hours later.

The group staged separate protests on Friday, during the taping of the Channel 4 show and at the performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The stunt at the Proms drew boos from the crowd, with the protesters seen wearing t-shirts and unfurling banners before being removed from the stage.
