The wife of Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has admitted she will support the Frenchman's decision as far as his future is concerned.
Martial, who has made just ten appearances in all competitions so far this season, wants to leave United due to a lack of game time at Old Trafford and his agent has confirmed that he plans to speak to the club about his client's future.
The France international, who has scored just one goal this season in all competitions in the 1-1 draw with Everton back in October, is currently struggling with a knee injury, but his frustrations over a lack of regular minutes have been building.
On Friday, the forward's agent confirmed that he wants to leave the club as soon as the January transfer window opens in a few weeks' time.
His agent, Philippe Lamboley, told Sky Sports: "Anthony wishes to leave the club in January. He just needs to play.
"He doesn't want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon."
Following confirmation from Lamboley that Martial wants to seal an exit from Old Trafford, Martial's wife, Melanie, was asked about her husband's future during an Instagram Q&A.
She refused to play down the possibility of him leaving the club, insisting that she will support his decision whatever he decides.
As per the translation from French to English, she said: "His choice is my choice. I would always agree with his professional choices."
Martial, who joined United back in 2015 for a big-money fee, has racked up 268 appearances for the club, netting 79 goals.
After scoring 23 times during the 2019/20 campaign, Martial was expected to kick on at Old Trafford and blossom into the player that so many predicted that he would when he first arrived in England more than six years ago.
However, since the start of last season, he has scored just eight goals in league and cup, although he has had several injury issues to contend with.
