  • The risky behaviour occurred just eight months after the 36-year-old survived a fatal car crash in Nigeria that tragically claimed the lives of two of his teammates, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
  • Former world champion Johnny Nelson publicly condemned Joshua's actions as “reckless, irresponsible and dangerous”, questioning his judgement following such a recent tragic event.
  • Despite the backlash from fans and pundits, the controversial footage remained visible on Joshua's Instagram story 18 hours after it was initially posted.
  • The controversy comes as final details are being arranged for Joshua's long-awaited super-fight against Tyson Fury , which is targeted for 20 November at Madison Square Garden in New York.
