Anthony Cacace vs Lyon Woodstock OFF following positive Covid-19 test

Anthony Cacace's British title defence against Lyon Woodstock is off.

Promoter Frank Warren revealed on Thursday that challenger Woodstock had tested positive for Covid-19.

It is the latest high profile fight to be pulled from Saturday's show after the headline bout between Carl Frampton and Jamel Herring was postponed.

That will now be held in Dubai on April 3, while Belfast boxer Cacace will have to wait to see what happens next as far as his British super-featherweight title defence is concerned.

His bout against Woodstock was originally scheduled to be held last summer but was postponed after Cacace was hospitalised after suffering an infection following dental surgery.

‘The Apache’ hasn’t fought since winning the title against Sam Bowen in November of 2019.
