Anthony Barr’s agent brings us through his decision to remain a Viking

The free-agent situation with the most drama this offseason (when you consider Odell Beckham Jr. and Antonio Brown were traded) can be found with Anthony Barr and his decision to sign with the Jets, and then to flip that decision to sign with the Vikings.

Courtney Cronin and Rich Cimini wrote a wonderful piece over at ESPN, bringing us through Barr’s decision. Read the full thing.

One thing I found interesting was hearing from Barr’s agent about his flip flop.

“There was a moment where I could sense he was hesitating a little bit,” Barr’s agent Ryan Williams told ESPN. “It became clear that he wasn’t settled with where we were headed. He felt like the right thing [going after the money he deserved as a player] was that he should go to New York. But deep down the right thing for him and ultimately what he cared about was to stay in Minnesota.”

The Vikings are lucky to have Barr back, but everyone probably wishes the situation was a little cleaner.
