Ant McPartlin returns to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after year off

Ant McPartlin is back at work on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! with Declan Donnelly after taking a break from the reality show.

The presenter, 43, was replaced by Holly Willoughby on last year’s series of the ITV competition while he stepped back from the spotlight following a drink driving incident and a stint in rehab.

McPartlin looked happy to return to the show in a selfie shared on the official Twitter account he shares with Donnelly, 44.

The snap showed the Geordie duo smiling for the camera in front of a TV screen and laptop showing the programme’s logo, with an ITV mug also in shot.

“First @imacelebrity meeting of the year...” they captioned the post, adding two emojis with zipped mouths.

The hit reality series is filmed in Australia every year and is expected to return to screens in November, with the star-studded line-up yet to be announced.

The hosts recently joked that they would love to see Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan head into the jungle.

In an appearance via video link at the Royal Television Society conference in Cambridge, they told Morgan’s co-host Susanna Reid that he has repeatedly made excuses about taking part in the show.

“There is a guy who sits in this seat next to you who has said he would do it for a certain amount,” Donnelly said.

“Piers has said he would do it for a certain amount of money, which I think we could meet, but he keeps on wriggling out of it.

“We have a list that we get every year and we add to it and subtract from it. On our list at the moment, one person we are tracking down this year is Richard Madeley.”
