Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway mystery location revealed as beloved Glasgow attraction

Fans of ITV's Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway flocked to an iconic Glasgow location on the latest episode of the show, to take part in the SofaWatch challenge.

As reported by the Scottish Sun, co-host Fleur East visits different areas of the UK to get local viewers to take part in the SofaWatch challenge, in order to win a Takeaway Getaway.

And this weekend, Glasgow was the stationed location for the ITV Saturday night show, at the iconic Burrell Collection in Glasgow's Pollok Park.

Viewers have to race down to the location to take part in the show as it airs live - and the people of Glasgow certainly did not disappoint!

Former X Factor contestant Fleur was gobsmacked as she reported a 'record' number of audience members - as 190 people raced to the Scottish location on Saturday, March 26.

Speaking on the show, Fleur said: "We can't even see the sofa. Someone's abandoned their Chinese takeaway, someone's abandoned their hot tub and one mother left her Mother's Day meal to get here."

The excitable crowd held up yellow numbered paddles as Ant and Dec picked number 40 to win the Takeaway Getaway - as lucky winner Caroline said her weekend was made.

Fans took to social media to write about the surprise TV appearance, with one Twitter user saying: "Saturday night and we are on our way to the Burrell Collection."

Another said: "Trust SofaWatch to pop up outside the Burrell Collection the one weekend I'm not in Glasgow."

While another added: "Anyone watching Ant and Dec? They're in Glasgow."

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway resumes on Saturday April 2, at 7pm on ITV.
