Another Liverpool FC mural appears on side of Anfield house

This mural painted on the side of a house in Anfield is the latest artwork celebrating Liverpool's Premier League win.

Paul Curtis - best known for his painting of the Liver Bird wings in the Baltic, is the artist behind the work, which he started painting on Old Barn Road this week.

The mural shows Jordan Henderson holding up the Premier League trophy in triumph with a huge grin on his face.

Featured beside Henderson is former captain Alan Hansen, pictured holding the trophy when the team last won the league in 1990.

The artwork is located just a short walk away from the stadium and has already gained a lot of attention from fans.

It is the latest among a series of different murals across the city that celebrate the team's success.

In June, a mural of a laughing Jurgen Klopp popped up on Jamaica Street.

Painted by Liverpool artist Caleb it shows Klopp’s beaming smile next to the words “We are Liverpool 2020!” and a Liver bird clutching the Premier League trophy.

Also in June, an LFC mural was painted on the side of a building off Bold Street to mark the Premier League title win.

The vibrant artwork in Ropewalks Square, shows players including Firmino and Mane with their arms round one another, as they celebrate the victory.

Paul Curtis - the artist behind the latest work in Anfield, was originally a geologist by trade but became an artist in 2016 after he was made redundant from work.

Since then, Paul has designed work which has appeared across the city on shop shutters, brick walls, advertising hoardings, inside bars - and even in a movie.
